Topsy and Tim go (Horse) Riding

Topsy and Tim are learning to ride. They are picked up by Audrey the farm girl in her pony and trap.

When they get the the farm they notice one of the horses isn't outside. Topsy and Tim wonder if she is ill. They go to see her in the stable and give her some apples which she eats so they feel a bit happier.

They then saddle up two horses and go riding with Audrey. Tim tries to get his horse to jump but he falls off. They go back and there is news about the horse. She has had two foals and filly and a colt. They decide to call them Topsy and Tim.

NB this book is called Topsy and Tim go Horse Riding in the older A4 version but the small paperback handy book is just called go riding.
