On their way out to visit a friend Mummy teaches Topsy and Tim how to cross the road safely. When they get to their friends' house they learn about minding the pond, not touching the roses, and keeping away from a bee. They learnt not to eat berries, or play in the shed. Inside they learnt not to use the hot water and the dangers of learning out of the window. Their friends mum told them not to get near the cooker and about not swallowing dangerous things and giving small toys to children. They wore their seatbelts on the way home.
