What is an ebook?

When Bowbridge Publishing first started out we were primarily a publisher of ebooks or electronic books. Now we have moved more into selling second hand and new books. However, we stll sell a small range of ebooks and felt that it might be useful to explain a little bit about them.

When we started publishing these books we felt that they were going to soon take off into the new way of reading. However, it seems that this has not happened. The reason we felt this was that the convenience of reading a book on a computer seemed like such a great thing. If a person had a laptop with them on the tain it would stop the need for them to ake additional books. Instructional books might be useful being read alongside the work that is being done on the laptop. The saving in paper seemed to be a great environmental advantage and meant that the prices of the books were lower than printed ones.

However the ebook market has been flooded with short, uninteresting books about how to suceed in pyramid marketing and the like which have given the industry a bad name. We would love to help improve the image of ebooks and hope that the informative and good quality books that we produce might help to do that. Unfortunately due to he costs of illustrators and the lack of demand we are no longer publishing new titles. However, we do still have a small range available for purchase.
