Hiding Christmas Presents

I know that on Christmas Eve I will be keeping some Christmas presents in my car while it is parked on my parents drive. They live in a nice area and the car will be in site of the house. We cannot bring the presents in until the children are all in bed. It can certainly be tempting to use the car as a hiding place for all of the presents at this time of the year as it is the one place that the children cannot get to. However, you need to bear in mind how this might effect your car insurance policy. If the presents are stolen from the car then you might be able to make a claim on your car insurance if you have such coverage. But if they are worth a lot of money, this could mean that the value of your car insurance might rise significantly in the future. Or perhaps if you have a cheap car insurance then you might not be covered for such a theft. So make sure you are very careful this Christmas when you are keeping presents in your car or better still find a better place to hide them.
